Mens Mental Health

Men can struggle with their mental health, unfortunately men don't always seek out help the way women do. There are many reasons for this and one of them is the pressure society as put on men to "man up" or "tough it out". How many of us have hear the saying Boys Dont Cry - well they do and they should.
The stigma of men speaking out is seen as a form of weakness or not "manly."
Men do feel depressed, do suffer from anxiety, do have feelings of hopelessness, do feel inadequate. Men feel exactly the same during bouts of mental health and life struggles as everyone else.
Statistics show that men are four times more likely to take their own lives than women, suicide is the largest death rate in under 50's men and over 75% of all suicides in the UK are male. By seeking out help, talking about issues, and actively listening to men, hopefully this statistic can be reduced.
